Very attractive, rare, large format B/W folding map depicting the railroads in the United States, issued in 1852 for Israel D. Andrew's report for the Treasury Department. The map spans the area from the Great Lakes in the north to the Gulf of Mexico in the south, and from west (Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana) to the Atlantic. Inset maps show Florida and Texas. Detailed representation of the railway network, both existing and proposed. The map is attached to the front cover of the folding boooklet that contained it, titled Maps - Andrews Report.
